Air Bag Suspension for a 2014 F-250 XLT FX4 Powerstroke Diesel

I have a 2014 F-250 XLT FX4 with the 6.7 Powerstroke. We tow a 5th wheel toy hauler and also a wakeboard boat. I am looking for advice between the air lift load lifter 5000 and the Firestone ride rite 2597. What are your thoughts. Also, if air lift is your opinion, is it necessary to go with the extreme just for the jounce?

For your 2014 F-250 XLT FX4 Powerstroke Diesel, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2597. This system has been confirmed to fit your model F-250 with both styles of 5th wheel hitch mounts. The air springs share a common mounting hole in your F-250's frame. You will want to use the bolt that came with your 5th wheel rail kit not the one that comes with the Air Bags. The Firestone system is superior to the Air Lift for your model truck and you don't have to worry about a joist bumper because of how the Firestone air bags are manufactured. They are capable of having 0 PSI in them and not being damaged because of the way the bags are attached to the metal end plates with a rolled crimp seal. I have attached an installation video below.

I also recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System item # AL74000EZ. Air Lift's premium, wireless, onboard compressor system with Bluetooth allows you to fill your air springs at the touch of a button. The WirelessAIR also automatically maintains pre-set air pressure levels. It lets you adjust 2 air springs independently with the wireless remote control allowing you to get side-to-side leveling of off-center loads by inflating each spring with a different amount of air.

To answer your second question. If you go with an AirLift System I would get the ones with the Joist bumpers like item # AL88396. If the air springs go below 5 psi you will damage them without the joist keeping them from collapsing.
