RV Cargo Carrier Solution For A Trailer That Has A Deeper Bumper

Question:

I love this design but no sure if I can use it. My bumper is just a notch over 7 inches deep, 4 and a half high at the very rear and right about 3 and a quarter high on the truck side. There is a two inch gap between the truck body and bumper too if that helps.

Thanks for the picture, and the measurements!

I took a look at your bumper, and it doesn't appear that the Mount-n-Lock GennyGo Generator and Cargo Carrier for RV Bumpers # MNT54FR will be a good fit for you.

This cargo carrier will fit square and rectangular RV bumpers with a maximum depth of 6", and since you mentioned that your bumper is a notch over 7", this will not work.

The best option I can offer for you, is to use a hitch mounted cargo carrier like the 22-1/2x49 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18113.

This carrier has overall dimensions of 22-1/2"" long, 49" wide, and 4-3/4" tall, will fit into 2"x2" trailer hitch receivers, and has a maximum weight capacity of 500lbs.

If you do not have a hitch already, you can use the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs # 13703 which will fit trailers with a frame width of 22" to 72" wide.

If your trailers frame is less than 22" wide, you can use # C13701 instead.
