Choosing Correct SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for a 2011 Ford F-150

Question:

I Pull a travel trailer with weight distribution hitch with a tongue weight of 640 lbs. several times a month during the summer. After camping season I seldom pull a trailer, maybe just a small 2 wheel trailer. Is the 1,000 lb. rated springs enough for my application?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Yes, the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-116-40 for 2WD or part # SSR-117-40 for 4WD are a great option for a 2011 Ford F-150. They offer a bolt-on fit and work well to reduce sag while towing or hauling. The 1,000 lbs of support they provide will be more than enough for your setup. Just make sure the tongue weight of the trailer and weight of cargo in the bed over the rear axles does not exceed this rating.
