I am see part # 118467 for my 2018 Subaru Outback, but I need a 7 pole for the trailer I am hauling. Do I need a 4 - 7 adaptor, or is there a 7 pole that will work with my vehicle?

Yes, we do have both an adapter and a complete wiring harness to add a 7-way connector to your 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon. You will need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # 118467 you referenced. This will provide your Subaru with a 4-flat vehicle connector that will control your trailer's lighting functions. To control the brakes you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it.

If your trailer requires a 7-way controller you will need a brake controller as well. Any trailer over 2,000 lbs requires trailer brakes. I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller - Proportional item # RED24FR. The Tow-Pro Liberty has a unique installation method where the main unit is concealed behind your dash and the only visible part is the control knob.
