Trailer Hitch Recommendation For A 2021 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I will be installing a trailer hitch for a customer who has a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 Hybrid. I believe I have narrowed it down to a Draw Tite DT82QR or the Curt C13416. Will any of these hitches affect the kick sensor that opens the tailgate? They do not want to lose that option.

When it comes to installing a trailer hitch on your 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid The Curt # C131416 and The Draw-Tite # DT82QR may interfere with the Hands-free Liftgate sensors and functionality may be very limited or possibly lost. With The Curt Hitch # C13416 only the center portion where the receiver mounts is blocked, so kick your foot to either side to retain function.
