Will the Carslie HBA16 hydraulic brake unit work with the GMC factory brake controller?

The HydraStar # HBA-16 is not compatible with the GM ITBC (OEM Brake Controller) on 2007-present Chevy and GMC full sized trucks. However, you can use the # HBA-CAM adapter module that would allow the OEM brake controller to work with generation 6 models with serial numbers 506100 or higher.

Another alternative would be to bypass the OEM controller and use an electric over hydraulic-compatible aftermarket controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885 or the Tekonsha P3, part # 90195. You would need to alter the wiring of the brake controller output circuit to the 7-way trailer connector as shown in the technical bulletin I have linked you to.
