Cross Bars and Roof Top Tent for 2015 Nissan Rogue

Have a 2015 nissan rogue sv with roof rail but no cross bars plus sky light. Would this tent, Yakima Skyrise 3 person. Would it meet the vehicle weight limitation? Do I need cross bars? Any other requirements or issues I may run into? Is there a better choice of tent within this price range?

Yes, you will need cross bars to go with your factory installed rails. I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RRVA126B-2 installed using the Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RRSX100. I have linked a product review and installation video below of these being put on 2015 Nissan Rogue. These have a dynamic weight capacity of 165 lbs. and will work with the roof top tents such as the Yakima SkyRise Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars - 3 Person, # Y79XR or # Y07437 that each weigh 115 lbs. and are a great option for your Rouge.

I like these tents but I do also suggest you consider the Annex for 3 Person Yakima SkyRise Tents, # Y07422.
