2" Dual Hitch Adapter For Hauling Bike Rack With a Pop Up Camper

Question:

can I use this double hitch when towing my pop up that requires a 4rise ball? will there be room to slide the bike rack in the top tube if a rise is needed for the bottom towing tube?

You will be able to use the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver # MPG544 for your pop up as long as your bike rack does not have a drop after the receiver and the pop up camper does not have any jacks or propane tanks that may be in the way of the bike rack. You will also want to check your bike rack for turning clearances to determine if you will have enough roof to maneuver your pop up when the bike rack is in place. Using this adapter will lower your tongue weight capacity of your receiver by 50% with a maximum rating of 400lbs tongue weight and 4,000lbs trailer weight.

A better option may be the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Trailer-Mounted Bike Rack Carrier # CC-275 that will place a receiver above the frame on your trailer. The receiver will sit 31" above your frame and accepts bike racks like the Swagman Traveler XC2 Bike Rack # S64663 that are safe to use on trailers.

The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter # RM-077-10 that you saw will only work on flat towed vehicles and cannot be used with towing trailers.
