Recommended Wiring Harness for 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
I need a wiring harness to go with a Curt hitch for my 2019 Outback. The only option I am seeing is over $200, and that just doesn’t make sense to me since the hitch itself is under $200. Can you please let me know what I would need to purchase?

For a wiring harness to use with your Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13206 and fits your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Connector # HM11143885. This wiring harness uses a T-connector to plug into the connection in your rear cargo area. Once installed you will have a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
If you need a ball mount to go with your hitch and wiring, I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
