Can The Trailer Mount AutoWbrake Electric Brake Controller Blow My Vehicle Fuses

I have a 2022 Subaru Ascent limited with dealer installed Subaru hitch and 7 blade connector. Plaque on hitch states not to exceed 16A for trailer break circuit. Pin 4 on connector has 12v and appears to be 15A fusing. Will this unit function?

I have a solution for you.

Autowbrake Electric Brake Controller - Trailer Mount - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional # 3430001.

This unit installs behind the 7 way connection and because of this you will not have to worry about blowing a fuse or tripping a breaker on your vehicle end.
