I have a 22 2500HD Silverado Crew Cab and want to carry 2 10’ kayaks on the roof. I am interested in the wingbar evo fitment. Will 2 10’ kayaks fit on top and do I need any special attachments?

You can indeed carry kayaks on the roof of your Silverado 2500. You'd first need to install the Thule EvoWindbar roof rack, which is assembled with these parts:

• Thule WingBar Evo 60 Inch Crossbars, part # TH711520
• Thule Evo Clamp Foot Pack, part # TH710501
• Vehicle Specific Fit Kit, part # TH145071

To carry the kayaks, you'll need to add a kayak carrier to the roof rack. The Thule # TH890000 Compass kayak rack can easily handle your 2 ten foot kayaks by carrying them on their sides while taking up minimal roof space. The rack includes the straps to secure the kayaks to the carrier, as well as the bow/stern tie-downs.

To make accessing the roof and the cargo carried on it easier, you might also be interested in a roof step like part # RL100660.
