Installation Help With Re-Installing Exhaust With Curt # C13386 Hitch on a 2013 Ford Explorer
Question:
I recently purchased and installed this hitch. It was very easy to install, and looks to be very well built. My issue is that the hangers on the exhaust system hit the hitch constantly while the vehicle is moving. It is very annoying, especiallt going over speed bumps and there are three of them on my way into and out of work every day. It is so bad I am considering returning it. Please help me resolve this. Thank you.

This is going to be a very easy fix and make your rides much quieter! The hangers on the exhaust system were not supposed to be re-installed. The Curt Hitch # C13386 has hanger brackets literally on the hitch that replace your hangers for your 2013 Ford Explorer.
In the picture, I have noted the brackets, so it may take a bit of time, but you can take your OEM hangers out and hook your exhaust to the bracket on the hitch and your annoying clanking noise will disappear!
