How to Connect 6V and 12V Batteries for 12V Battery Bank
Question:
If I connect two 6 volt batteries to a 12 V battery will it give me more run time for my rv or will it drain the 6th batteries faster?

Expert Reply:
You will make your battery bank larger (run time for your RV longer) if you run the 6V batteries in series and then those to the 12V battery in parallel.
You'll need 10 Gauge Wire # DW02508-1 as well as ring terminals like the 1/4" # DW05740-1 or the 3/8" # DW05741-1 to complete this installation.
