High Capacity 4.80/4.00-8 Tires for Log Splitter

Question:

Hi - Im trying to find replacement tires and tubes for my log splitter in size 4.80/4.00 - 8. Ive seen some rated at B, but my log splitter is old and very heavy. Im thinking I may need a C or D rated tire. Do you have anything that would work? If you need more information you can email me.

We don't offer a higher rated 4.80/4.00-8 tire, but we do offer one mounted on an 8 inch wheel with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern in a load range C, as part # AM30060. The tire has a 745 lb capacity.

If you wish to retain your existing wheels, we offer a 5-70-8 tire in a Load Range B as part # AM10013 which has a 1075 lb capacity per tire. This tire will measure about 2 inches larger in diameter and 1 inch wider than your existing tires, which will move the tire 1 inch closer to the fender and 1/2 inch closer to the trailer frame than your existing tire size. These tires will increase your ride height by an inch.

You want to see about 2 inches of clearance between the inner sidewall and the trailer frame and a minimum of 3 inches between the tire and the underside of the fender or wheel well. The tire is compatible with an 8 x 3-3/4 wheel which is what a 4.80/4.00 - 8 tire is typically mounted on.

Both tires are tubeless.

I've linked to product videos for the wheel/tire combo and the tire mentioned above.
