What would you recommend for a 30 inch diameter anf 10 inch wide spare tire? Vehicle is 2017 Mercedes GLS 450. Thanks for the prompt reponse.

For your 2017 Mercedes GLS 450 I recommend the etrailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier - 2" Hitch # e98ZR. This will work for bolt patterns up to 6 on 5-1/2" so your 30" x 10" tire will fit as long as the bolt pattern is no more than 6 on 5-1/2. Keep in mind, using this spare tire carrier means you will have to remove it in order to access the rear cargo area.
