Adding LED Lights CE27656A to Post-Style Guide-Ons

Question:

I have LED lights existing on new bunk boat trailer. The guide poles for the 20 foot boat are attached to the trailer and the current trailer lights are too low to the ground on existing trailer design. It was suggested to add oval LED lights to the pvc Guide poles on the left and right side of the rear of the trailer. Thus, I would have the LED lights on the bottom back of the boat trailer and additional OVAL shaped LED light on the top of the PVC guide poles which would increase safety use of the boat trailer so that people looking up or down will have visual of the brake lights, turn signals etc. Do you have a wiring diagram or sequence of steps to connect the OVAL pole led lights to the wiring of existing LED tail lights on the trailer so both function at the same time. Thank you

The option we have for an LED light kit for post-style guide-ons for a boat trailer the LED Light Kit for Post-Style Boat Guide-Ons # CE27656A.

These will fit on 2-3/8" outer diameter post-style PVC boat guides, but there isn't a way to wire them for brake lights, turn signals and all the rest. They are generally just wired as running lights for added visibility, and there is not a wiring diagram or sequence of steps, though the # CE27656A do come with instructions.

The instructions simply say to use the included quick splices to connect the wire coming from the light kit to your running light wire, however, so it is quite simple. If you're okay with just getting that extra visibility as opposed to the full functionality of turn signals and brake lights, then the # CE27656A is the best option.
