Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire 205/65-10 Load Range E Are Wearing Out Quickly
Question:
I bought a set of these for a utility trailer. Total weight including trailer that they carry is less than 2000 lbs so way under their capicity. I have less than 1000 miles on them and they are 2/3 worn... Ill be forced to replace them within the next 200-300 miles. How long should they last?

They should last longer than 1,000 miles unless it was a really tough 1,000 miles. I mean extreme heat and rough terrain. To maximize the life of a trailer tire you should always have them inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire. In this case, # AM1HP56 is rated for 1,650 pounds at 90 psi.
The tires are also rated for a maximum speed of 65 miles per hour. Going faster than that would increase the wear.
If the tires are not wearing evenly all around the tire then there could be an issue with the suspension or something that is not aligned properly. I would have the trailer inspected by a shop that works on trailers to make sure everything is in good working order. I have included a link to our tire FAQ article for you.
