If the front of your 5th wheel has the concaved-in front corners for cab clearance and the 5th wheel manufacturer specifically states that a sliding hitch isn't needed, the Demco # DM8550045 Recon adapter would be an excellent choice.

Otherwise, for the majority of 5th wheels the best option would be to remove your existing gooseneck hitch and use the sliding Reese hitch you already have. To install the hitch, you'll need a bracket/rail kit like the Curt # C16411-204 install kit that provides industry standard bed-mounted bed rails that are compatible with your Reese sliding hitch. A patch panel for the hole in the bed floor is easily obtainable.

With the rails installed, if you need to tow a gooseneck trailer in the future, you can always use a rail-mounted hitch like # 16055.

I've linked to an installation video for the # C16411-204 install bracket/rail kit.
