Will The Curt RockerBall Work With A Weight Distribution System?
Question:
I have been thinking about installing this on my camper. I do not have a weight distribution hitch. I am going to towing my camper which is 3500 lbs. I will be towing on highways this summer and thought it might be a good idea as an added safety measure. I really dont experience much sway now. I was also thinking about installing the CURT Rockerball 40047. mounted to a 45820 hitch Do you see any issue using the two together?

Expert Reply:
The Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball # C40047 and the Curt Ball Mount w/ Sway Control Tab for 2" Hitches # D320 you mention, will work great together.
However, it should be noted that the Curt # C40047 will not work with a weight distribution system, due to the fact the flange that gets welded between the platform and the base that stops the unit from rotating, will not fit over the shank on a weight distribution system.
