Do Safety Cables Attach to Base Plate of Towed Vehicle or Removable Arms
Question:
For my 2001 dodge dakota 4.7l 4x4 I will be ordering the base plates from you. My question is : do the safety cables connect to the removalble weldable arms or to the base plates or both?

Expert Reply:
Safety cables attach to the portion of the base plate kit that permanently mounts to the front of the vehicle. This is so that in case the removable arm were to somehow become disconnected the safety cable like part # BX88197 would prevent the vehicle from becoming totally disconnected.
