Mounting Bracket Kit for Thule HideAway Awning on a 2018 Forest River R-Pod
Question:
Are the recommended for use on a 2018 Forest River R-Pod model 180? Apparently the factory didn’t install brackets when the original owner purchased the trailer with the Thule awning. We’re the second owners. These wouldn’t be installed through metal but through a fiberglass sidewall with aluminum frame. If so, would different screws be needed? How would installation go? Thank you.

I contacted the manufacturer to confirm that the Vehicle Mounting Bracket Kit for Thule HideAway Awnings # TH1500602390 would be good for use on your 2018 Forest River R-Pod with fiberglass and aluminum construction. The manufacturer said that the Vehicle Mounting Bracket Kit for Thule HideAway Awnings # TH1500602390 would be the correct brackets for your R-Pod for a HideAway awning and that the included installation kit (screws) is very effective on those materials.
