Compatibility of Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver With Hands Free Liftgate on 2019 Honda CR-V
Question:
Hi, i like to install hitch to my Honda, but also dealer said i need a conversion kit for my hands-free trunk foot opener sensor. I can seem to find part? do I need one with your hitch? looking at 1 and 1/4 hitch curt hitch

With the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12169, I recommend installing it on your 2019 Honda CR-V first to determine if you will need to relocate the sensor. We have found on several of the available receivers for your CR-V that they often do not need the sensor moved. You will just need to perform the kick motion on only one side or the other close to the side of the receiver tube.
If you find that your sensor does not work the Sensor Relocation Kit 08U59-TLA-100A can be added.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741 will give you a 4-way flat connector that will fit most small trailers you may tow, and will also allow you to add Auxiliary Lights # C53201. These lights are needed if your bike rack, cargo carrier or other hitch mounted accessory impairs the view of your tail lights to other drivers on the road.
