Adjustability of DEMCO 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

Hello. I have purchased the BandW Turnover Ball system and installed this in my 2018 Ford F250. I currently own the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for BandW Turnoverball Gooseneck. However it seems that this isnt deep enough to in and successfully pin the Curt Adapter. I am wondering if the Demco DM6140 that has the adjustable section will allow me enough clearance to pin the adapter and use with my Curt manual Sliding Hitch. Do you know the range of adjustability on the DM6140. It looks as though it can work, but I dont know how much range the DM6140 will adjust?

The Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs item # 16310 you referenced has been known to have issues with bed liners and not being able to fully sit in the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs item # BWGNRK1116. There is a lot of resistance to people not wanting to cut large sections of their bedliners out to make these two pieces compatible. The Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches item # DM6140 has almost 2 inches of adjustability. I have attached a diagram that shows the dimensions and steps to get this adapter to fit perfectly into your 2018 Ford F-250's Turnoverball system.

To make towing your 5th Wheel Trailer or Gooseneck Trailer more convenient I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector for Aluminum Beds - 7' Long item # C57008 to your F-250. This custom fit wiring harness plugs into your OEM port to provide you with a 7-way connector in your truck bed. It connects in line with you existing harness allowing you to keep the 7-way connector on your bumper.
