Parts Needed to Add Brakes to 3,500 lb Trailer Axle with 5 on 4-1/2 inch Wheel Bolt Pattern
Question:
I have a boat trailer with a Dexter Axle SN 2C - 0544323 that I am interested in adding Electric Brakes to. I spoke with Dexter and they lost records during the time the axle was built. It is a 3500# axle and has the 4 -bolt mounting flanges. The hub has 5-4.5 studs and the wheels are stamped with 5-1/2jx13. The contact at Dexter said they believe that a 008-247-05 hub and a 010-004-00 seal were used. Can you identify what I need with this information, or is something else needed? Thanks

Thanks for all of that info as that is enough to pick out the correct hubs and brake assemblies. For hub/drums you'd need the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which will fit your spindles and has correct wheel bolt pattern and then for brake assemblies you'd want the # 23-468-469 which is a left and right hand side assembly.
