Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with Tow Loops

Question:

Hello - I own a 2020 Gladiator Jeep Rubicon that I plan to flat tow with my E450 Forester RV. I plan to purchase the Maximus 3 tow loops. With that in mind, what are my optimal options with a tow bar model and lbs wiring and braking system less intrusive perhaps not a stay in place system. Turnkey with a Maximus 3 tow loop factored in. Just looking for a small field of options to review/ from etrailer. Thanks

From what I found on the Maximus 3 tow loops, they will work with tow bars using a 7/8" pin. Given that information you would want to use the Blue Ox Aftermarket Off-Road Bumper Adapter # BX88357 which uses a 7/8" pin. This adapter will work on a Blue Ox tow bar like the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380. The Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380 also includes the safety chains which is another part needed to flat tow.

A great braking system that doesn't remain in place is the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524 which delivers automatic, proportional braking to your towed car.. You would also need to pick up the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751497, this is needed for any braking system in your Jeep. This activates your RV monitoring system to alert you when the brakes of your towed car are being applied.

For the wiring we have the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
