Recommended Slide Out Topper Awning For A 142.5" Flange Measurement With Limited Clearance Space

Question:

I am going to purchase slide toppers for my fifth wheel cougar 290 RLS I spoke with Kevin C and he sent me the right sizes, I have the right size for two of them but I am not sure with the sofa side, it has a awning on the right side of slider. I want to make sure the roller and the mechanism doesn’t hit the awning. From flange to flange it is 11 feet 10 1/2 inches. I am going to try to send you some pictures and hopefully you can let me know what size I need to get so I can order these Sliders. Thank you

Thank you for the pictures, it looks like you have about 2.5" to 3" of space from the edge of your flange to the awning arm. Because of the this, instead of the Black # LCV000177334 or White # LCV000163298 slide out toppers I recommended you'll want to go down in size to the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning Black # LCV000168328 or White # LCV000139496.

Since the flange of a slide out is typically 2.5" in length the actual box of the slide out is going to be approximately 137.5". This means the the 139" slide topper will cover the box but will not fully cover the flanges. This will allow for enough space for the arms to mount without coming into contact with your other awning.
