Flat Tow Set Up For 2017 GMC Sierra 1500
Question:
What Tow bar wiring harness do I need to flat tow a GMC Sierra 1500 SLE behind my motor home using a supplemental braking system that when actuated pulls the break pedal down and the break lights come on. Motor home has 7 way vehicle plug already instaled

I suggest these for your flat tow set up.
The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # e98958. This gives you the base connection that makes the entire set up work.
Next the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs # BX7420 will couple with the base plate and your motorhome. Safety cables are included with this tow bar.
For your braking system I recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor - Proportional # DM86VR. This will sync your brakes in the GMC to your motorhome and they will function like normal.
Wiring I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7. It will sync your lights on both vehicles.
You will also need a battery disconnect to prevent your Sierra's battery from being drained while towing it. I suggest the Deka Lead Quick-Disconnect Battery Terminal - Universal Polarity # DW05312.
Since we have to disconnect the battery in your towed vehicle you will need to run a new power source to power components for the brake system.
