Where Does Curt Trailer Wiring Install on a Base Model 2013 Ford Explorer
Question:
Im a little confused every example Ive seen of the plug and play cabling has two cables that youve got separate, then place t-connector unit between them. However when I look under mine there is only one plug not connected to anything. Is it possible they already have a t-connector in there and can I still use the kit with the t-connector?

On a 2013 Ford Explorer that did not come with a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, you can use Curt wiring harness # C56172 that you have referenced. It will install underneath the vehicle at the back on the passengers side. The factory connection point should be behind the rear tire. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. I have also linked a video showing a typical installation of another harness that fits in the same place on your vehicle.
