Will the Yakima Holdup 2013 model work on my Equinox 2013 with factory class ll hitch? IF so, will rear hatch open when bikes are tilted away?

The Yakima HoldUp 2 # Y02445 is designed to fit a 1-1/4 inch Class II hitch, and will fit your 2013 Chevy Equinox. Please note that this carrier cannot be used with bikes that have fenders.
The HoldUp 2 can hold 2 bikes with a maximum weight of 60-lbs each.
I have attached a brief video demonstration for the HoldUp 2. Although the vehicle shown is different than yours, you can see in the picture attached that the tilting feature allows full cargo access. These results should be similar on your vehicle. Keep in mind that although the tilting mechanism is pretty substantial, you may still have to remove at least the bike closest to your vehicle to gain rear door access.
