Troubleshooting Lights On Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller Staying On After Braking
Question:
Randomly press the brakes on the truck driver or even parking and when I release the brake the light on the knob stays lite up on red with one light on typically in the 6-8th light area going around clockwise. Also, when I drove the trailer, it was fine at first then errored saying overloaded. Yet to have a good tow with it.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the brake switch on your 2021 Jeep Gladiator. With the Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller # C51170 staying on after you have released the brake pedal it is still receiving power through the red wire of the Universal Wiring Adapter # C51515.
You can use a Test Light # PTW2993 to determine if power is still in the red wire with the brake pedal released. You will also want to visually check to ensure that there is nothing in the way that is causing the pedal to no longer return all the way in.
