So while this is possible, what you will need to do is add another lead leg - as there isn't a way to add a motor to a follow leg - and disconnect the cross shaft. In order to do that you'll want to get a leg with the same dimensions. I know you mentioned your granddaughter's trailer was some distance away, but those measurements would be needed to ensure the trailer is even. Here are some options for when you do get the measurements:

- 33-1/2" With 21" Drop Leg: Replacement Lead Leg for Venture 5th Wheel RV Landing Gear # LC54FR

- 33-1/2" With 15" Drop Leg: Replacement Lead Leg for Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear # LG-177202

- 29-1/2" With 15" Drop Leg: Replacement Lead Jack w/ Drop Leg for Stromberg Carlson Landing Gear # LG-179013

You would then replace the gearbox, motor, and switch with Replacement Aluminum Gearbox # LG-179015, Replacement Motor # LG-142178, and Replacement Switch # LG-145236.
