Sway Control Help for a 19 Foot Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 19 ft travel trailer, single axle, and a Curt Friction bar sway control on trailer. I pull with 2020 Ford F150, with towing package. When driving on interstate at 70 MPH I get some sway and what appears to me as the tongue of the ttrailer moving up and down slightly. What can I add to the existing sway bar to improve this. When I connect the trailer, the back of the truck s only a few inches.

If I am understanding your question correctly it sounds like you are using the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems item # 17200 when you are pulling your 19 ft travel trailer with your 2020 Ford F-150. To keep your trailer from bouncing up and down and give you a more solid stable connection I recommend adding a weight distribution system that is compatible with your Curt Friction Sway Control. The Curt MV Weight Distribution System item # C17051 would work extremely well with your set up. This round bar system has an 8,000 lbs maximum capacity and a works effectively with a 600 lbs - 800 lbs tongue weight. You can also attach your Curt Friction Sway Control item # 17200 will also attach to the head. I have attached a couple of review videos.
