Draw-Tite 75715 Hitch Mounting Holes Will Not Line Up On A 2012 Nissan NV 2500
Question:
I previously ordered a trailer hitch for a 2012 Nissan NV 2500 van. The hitch seems like the perfect fit but the holes do not align. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can say that the Draw-Tite # 75715 is a fit for your 2012 Nissan NV 2500 and I included an install we did on this exact vehicle. With that said, what I think is going on is the hitch is flexed a little. This does happen pretty often as the metal side brackets are not a super rigid steel. This is intentional as when the frame of your vehicle flexes, the hitch can flex with it and not break. However, this does mean that these brackets can get a little out of whack during shipping and or storage.
What you will need to do is flex it out a little. This can be done a few ways. The easiest way I have found is to wedge the bracket under a step and lean back while holding onto the hitch. Do this very very lightly a few time and then try and re-fit. You may need to do this a few times to get it to that perfect point, so take your time. I included an artical on this as well that may help.
If you don't have a step to do this with, you can also use a table vice and I have even seen people use a floor jack and 2x4. Whichever way you decide to do it, again, just take your time and do it in small increments. If this doesn't work though, let me know and I can see about trying something else.
