Replacement 2,000LB Trailer Leaf Springs For 1962 Aristocrat Single Axle Trailer

Question:

I have a 1962 Aristocrat single axle trailer 14foot that has a broken spring. Its an 8 stack spring although they are thin springs. 1 3/4 wide. The eyelet is 26 3/4 inches apart centered with a 9/16inch bolt. The title says the trailer weighs less than 2K lbs. What do you have to upgrade this to a modern spring or one that will work. Thanks

I recommend the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # e77SR to replace the springs on your 1962 Aristocrat single axle trailer. These are the same 1-3/4" wide springs with a 26" measurement from bolt center to bolt center. As springs wear and sag it is normal for the measurements to appear longer than what they are when new so this will be the best one for your 2,000lb trailer. Be sure to replace both springs as a set.

With the age of your trailer you should also get a U-Bolt Kit like # APUBR-10 which is designed to fit 1-3/4" round axles. If you have a different size axle let me know and I can find you the correct kit. You should also replace all the Shackle Bolts # 166081 and Shackle Straps # 115052
