Parts Needed To Install a Trailer Brake Controller On a 2014 Toyota Sienna
Question:
What trailer brake system would you recommend for my 2014 Toyota Sienna pulling a pop-up camper with electric brakes? Obviously no off road towing, but I live in MT so mountain travel is going to be my biggest need. Thank you.

In order to tow a trailer with brakes using a 2014 Toyota Sienna you'll first need to get setup with a trailer connector, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118498 is what I recommend. This is a 4-way but you need a 7-way for trailers with brakes. Therefore, you need an adapter, the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7L is what I recommend. Finally, you can add the brake controller and for this setup I recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180 since it does not require the drilling into the dash or splicing into wires like most others do. This is the best setup for those that aren't towing everyday.
