Will The Tekonsha 4-Way Wiring Harness From a 2017 Kia Sportage Fit The 2022 Kia Sportage?
Question:
I'm trading in my 2017 Kia Sportage for a 2022. I was already told that my Draw-Tite receiver will work on the new Sportage but I wasn't sure if any of the wiring changed. I had the Tekonsha wiring harness installed with the hitch, can I use that on the New Sportage as well?

Yes, the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118698 from your 2017 Kia Sportage can be used on new 2022 Kia Sportage. The 2017 was the first year of the redesigned Sportage that is still under production. That is why the etrailer Hitch Receiver # e72TR will also fit your new Sportage.
I do recommend ordering a Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK for your receiver as the bolts are a one time use fastener and should not be reused.
You may also need new 12 Gauge Wire # 12-1-1 (sold per foot), Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 and Cable Ties # DW05724-25 to route the wiring on your new Sportage.
