What All Do I Need To Get My 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie Set Up To Be Flat Towed?

I want to get our new 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie set up to be towed behind our new RV. This is pretty new to us and need everything for it. I have towed a good amount of trailers in the past, but never anything like this. We will be going into the mountains pretty often so I definitely want some kind of braking system as well. I talked to a guy at a campsite a while ago that had one of the Roadmaster Tow Defender things to protect the front of his car, which seems like a good idea. New truck and new RV, so I want to protect them. Can you get me a full list of everything needed? Thanks in advance.

I will start by saying that the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750 is definitely a good idea. Not only will this protect the front of your new 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie from road debris, but also the back of your new RV. Stuff can ricochet off the front of other protectors and then hit the back of an RV, but there is no way for that to happen with this.

With that said, all the parts I have listed below will be Roadmaster products. Not only are the vast majority of their products American made (all but the # RM-154 wiring in this case), but they have proved to be more reliable and robust than the other brands we currently offer.

All these are confirmed to fit and be used with your 22 Ram 1500 and the # RM-751000 stop light switch is needed when installing the # RM-8700 braking system as there is no tow position on your ignition. The 8,000 pound rated RM-676 tow bars also include the safety cables and most of the needed wiring, but the # RM-154 wiring kit will have the rest.
