Snow Tire Chain Recommendation For 35x12.5-20 Tires
Question:
Trying to find snow chains, had a shop interpret tire sizes and what they wrote down doesn’t match any on this site. Actual numbers on tire: 35x12.50R 20LT 121R 10P.R. Shop interpretation: 305/60R 20. Any idea what size I need? This site offers 18 or 22.5.

What you have are 35x12.5-20 tires, and we do have snow tire chains that fit that size. There are two options that will fit I recommend, with the right one depending on if you are dealing with mostly just snow, or also snow and a lot of ice:
- Snow, Light Ice: Titan Chain Tire Chains with Cams - Ladder Pattern - Twist Link # TC3235CAM
- Snow, Heavier Ice: Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base Tires - Ladder Pattern - V-Bar Links # TC3835
Both sets of chains use twist links with a ladder pattern, and that is what will give you the best overall traction in the snow, but the reason the # TC3835 is better for ice is because they have V-bar links, which are small edges on the side of the chain that catch the ice, giving you much better traction in that situation.
So the choice really comes down to what kind of environment you are in, and the only other thing I recommend are adjusters to ensure a consistently tight fit around your tires, the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2.
