Flat Towing Equipment Recommendations For A 2015 Yukon Denali Without Adaptive Cruise Control
Question:
Relative to flat towing, What Blue Ox base plate and tow bar do I need for a 2015 Yukon Denali without Adaptive Cruise Control? Also , do I need a lighting/wiring kit? Will this kit enable the Yukon’s braking system when being towed or do I need something else for this? Finally, if I wanted the system installed for me, where could I get this done? I live in Carmel, Indiana.

To flat tow your 2015 GMC Yukon you'll need a tow bar, base plate, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:
Tow Bar: Since you want to use Blue Ox base plates I recommend sticking with a Blue Ox tow bar to prevent the need for an adapter. For the weight of your vehicle I recommend the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000lbs # BX7420. This tow bar has non0binding latches and a swivel function that makes connecting and disconnecting on any terrain a breeze.
Base Plate: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1716. This custom fit base plate has easily removable arms that offer a seamless look when you're not flat towing. Base plate bolts directly to your chassis, so no welding is required.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your GMC Yukon's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV and includes everything you need to transfer your lighting signals from the motorhome to your vehicle.
You will need to disconnect the negative battery cable from the post in your Yukon to flat tow it. If you want to make it as easy as flipping a switch then you can install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766.
Braking System: Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # HM39530. This system offers fully proportional braking with a system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset. The actuator installs out of sight and remains virtually invisible when your car isn't being towed. The controller also works as a trailer brake controller so you won't have to purchase one separately if you need to tow a trailer with your motorhome. The included charge line kit will keep your Yukon's battery charged while you tow.
Safety Cables: The # BX7420 will come with safety cables so you won't have to purchase any separately.
You will also most likely need a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level while towing. This requires some measuring on your part so I've attached our help guide article which will walk you through the steps of determining the correct rise/drop for your needs.
We actually have a feature on all of our product pages just under the photos or videos of the product that is a link that will take to you a page where you can type in your zip code and find installers for that specific part near you.
