Can Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack be Used With Hitch Adapter on 2 Inch Stealth Hitch
Question:
2019 Tesla Model 3 If I were to purchase a Kuat Sherpa 2.0 for use with my stealth hitch 2, would it be recommended to use a Hitch Riser Adapter? The stealth hitch receiver rides fairly low and it looks like the Sherpa would just extend out straight from there, making it likely to hit the ground if the car went up an incline. If a riser is recommended, what length and height? I note there are several possibilities on the etrailer site. Thanks.

I checked with Kuat, and they specify not to use any type of hitch extension or adapter with the Sherpa 2.0. So I can't recommend using one, but if you take a look at the dimensions I provided for the rack, you can see that the platform does have a good amount of rise from its shank. So unless you were going up a very steep driveway with a curb, for example, then there won't be any issues using it with your Tesla's Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391TES317.
The Sherpa 2.0 really is a fantastic choice for a bike rack so you're going to be really happy with it, and it is available in your choice of three different colors:
- Gray: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22G
- Black: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22B
- Pearl: Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack # SH22P
The Sherpa 2.0 is great because it offers so much convenience; it installs in your hitch with the swift and simple turn of a knob, which also works as an anti-rattle device, giving you a very quiet ride.
