Weight of Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution Hitch BXW1500

I would like to know the weight of the shank and hitch head for the Blue Ox sway pro hitch. I prefer not lift heavy items for health reasons. Is an aluminum shank perhaps an option with this hitch? Thank you

The shank weighs 20 lbs, and the hitch head weighs 25 lbs for the SwayPro weight distribution hitch you asked about:

- Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs # BXW1500

As a whole the SwayPro # BXW1500 weighs 90 lbs, which is the lightest you can get for this type of system. As for an aluminum shank, that would not be an option; the reason for that is an aluminum shank would not be able to withstand the amount of force and torque required for a weight distribution hitch. So they do need to use a steel shank like the one included with this hitch.
