Can You Reuse Hubs/Drums and Braking Assemblies When Using the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension
Question:
I am looking at going with an axle less suspension on our camper. It appears that the Timbren would be a good option for our purposes. I would like to know if this is actually an option for us. Currently the trailer has electric brakes. Would I be able to reuse the current brake plates and wheel mounts or would I need to go with a different set up?

If you match the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System part # ASR3500S06 (3,500 Lbs) with your current axle's weight capacity then you can reuse the hubs/drums, braking assemblies, and wheels/tire. The spindle and brake mounting flanges on the axle-less system are standardized and no different than a standard axle. I am not able to look up what size axle anyone particular trailer uses but it's super easy to find for yourself, simply crawl under the trailer and read the axle tag sticker in the center of the beam. I have then attached for you below a list of all our options for the axle-less systems. If you let me know the size of your axle, I would be glad to make a recommendation.
