What Air Bags Do You Recommend for My 2013 Ford F-150 4x4?
Question:
I pull a 23foot travel trailer with a WDH. No problems there. The problem arises when I leave or return home. My driveway is at such an angle that the bolts or the actual hitch drag on the driveway. I have borrowed an Expedition and found that it doesnt drag. So, I am considering air bags that I could air up just before pulling in or out. I do haul heavy loads from time to time and pull a 16foot utility trailer where the bags would come in handy. I had considered Sumo Springs but I am just afraid they wouldnt do what I need done. I am looking for suggestions. Thank you!

For giving you the rise you need for entering/leaving your driveway while towing with your 2013 Ford F-150 4x4, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # AL57200. The LoadLifter 5000 will allow you to adjust the firmness of the airbags which will give you the rise you are looking for to increase ground clearance of your weight distribution system. You will be able to adjust the airbags from 5-100 psi (depending on the firmness/rise you need). In addition to the rise, the LoadLifter will give you a smoother ride overall (with and without your trailer).
To make the inflation process easier, I recommend the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25856 or the wireless Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL74000EZ. Both of these systems will allow you to inflate your air bags independently from the comfort of your cab. With the WirelessAIR, you will be able to control the inflation with the ease of your smart device. Also, the WirelessAIR has the capability of providing you with continued diagnostic results to ensure that the air bags are working safely and properly.
