Best Trailer Brake Controller To Install With Tekonsha Wiring Harness On a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
Does this wiring harness include brake controller or is a separate controller needed? If so, what is the part # for that. Have a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder.

Expert Reply:
The Tekonhsa T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118273 for the factory tow package on your 2015 Nissan Pathfinder does not include a brake controller.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 for your Pathfinder. This controller will require a Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3050-P to connect to the factory connector located under your dash. This is a proportional brake controller with a customizable LCD screen and it has diagnostics built in to tell you what to check if there is a problem with your trailer brakes.
If you prefer a smaller brake controller that does not take up much space the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR will be a better choice for you. This will require their Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED39FR to connect to the factory connector under your dash.
