Squeegee for Installation of LaSalle Bristol RV Roof Replacement Kit w/ XTRM Membrane

Question:

I looked at about 5 squeegees to see what I could find to lay down the LaSalle PVC roofing I have coming in from eTrailer and they all seam to soft.. great for removing water from a smooth surface but to me.. too soft to pull the air bubbles out from under a PVC membrane like Shane did in the video. Can someone ask Shane about the squeegee he used, and how soft or hard the rubber material is on it. Thx And can you use a roller, or is that to much stretching for PVC ?

I discussed with Shane your questions of laying down the LaSalle Bristol RV Roof Replacement Kit w/ XTRM Membrane, # 344270KIT40. He stated to use a squeegee of the type used on bathroom walls or glass shower doors, it will need to be stiff. As for the roller, you can try to use one if you choose to of course but, there is concern of getting enough downward pressure to move the bubbles to the outside. You can of course, and maybe you can make it work, he prefers to use a stiff squeegee. He asked that I pass on to you that you will probably not get every single small bubble out, but this is okay. Just make sure that you address the larger bubbles, the smaller ones will come out as the adhesive dries.
