Replacement Braking System For US Gear D-Celerator Unified Flat Tow Braking System
Question:
I would like to use the Prodigy 3 to replace the controller used on the U S Gear, D-celerator, Unified Tow Brake. Or another possibility would be the controller used with the inch Stealth inch system that etrailer list as a separate item. The coach is a 2016 MB 3500 chassis and the towed vehicle is a 2005 Jeep with the U S Gear package. Also would appreciate any other suggestions. As a side note,. If I can make this work I will also need a new tow bar. Thank you

It does not look like you will be able to use the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 with your US Gear tow brake.
I recommend changing over to the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This system provides proportional braking to your 2005 Jeep. It is one of the few systems that looks for 2 inputs to confirm that you are braking. It wants to see that your brake lights are activated saying that you have physically pushed the brake pedal and it wants to feel the inertia of braking before it will begin to use the brakes on your Jeep. This helps to reduce wear and tear on your brakes while you are towing. Best of all to activate the system in your Jeep all you need to do is flip a switch.
If you can tell me which base plate that you have on your Jeep or connection method you are wanting to use I can recommend a tow bar and any other parts that you need for flat towing with your 2016 Mercedes Sprinter 3500.
