Will This Work For My 2005 Jayco Greyhawk?

Question:

Im looking into upgrading the hitch on my 2005 Jayco Greyhawk. The current hitch bolt holes measure 39inch on center. I could probably go to 40inch on center. I need at least 1 3/4inch without modification of the bumper, which I can do. Id like to go to at least 7500lbs capacity. I saw you had measured this hitch for another customer, but I measured a lighter version of the same curt hitch 13040 and it was 39inch in the front, where your measurements showed 40inch in the back for the 14090. Would you mind measuring center to center from side to side for all three holes and measure the in the center of the hitch?

Yes, certainly we can and will make the requested measurements but first let me be certain I am understanding correctly what you need. What I think you are wanting is a hitch for your 2005 Jayco Greyhawk that is built on the Ford E-450 Chassis. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receivers, # 13040 and # 14090 are designed to fit the Chevrolet Express Van. The bolt pattern and dimensions are not going to match the E-450 frame.

There is not a bolt on hitch option for your 2005 E450 Chassis, the best option available is the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 3" Drop, # 15901. Once welded in to place this hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 15,000 lbs. with a max tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. so this will not only meet, but exceed the tow specs of your 2005 Jayco Greyhawk.
