Air Bag Inlet Valve Installation Location for Firestone Air Helper Springs on 2021 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
It seems weird to me that the exit of the air bag comes out of the BOTTOM of the air bag and therefore the bottom of the coil? If i am buying this to lift my load i dont want to risk having lower clearance with the air valve that can rip off. So can you confirm that this is the only way to install it? Or is it possible to install with the air valve coming out of the TOP of the 2021 Nissan Pathfinder? Thank you!!

Yes, this is the only way to install the Firestone Air Helper Springs item # F4118. The top of the air helper spring makes contact with the factory bump stop so there is no way to install an air valve. The air bag only limits how much your coil spring compresses when under a heavy load, in the event of an air bag failure your coil spring would still function as normal. I have linked a review video that will demonstrate the function of the air helper springs and the install method.
I recommend going with a set of 1/4" Elbow for Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs item # AL21837. This will change the angle of your air line when it comes out of the helper spring and would help you keep it further away from the ground.
