Recommended Bolt On A-Frame Trailer Coupler For A Jayco Pop-Up Camper

Question:

Hi, I rent my camper out. I need a durable, easy to use coupler. I would like a bolt on so I can install it myself. It will go on a Jayco popup camper the current coupler is a Atwood 82311/82315 welded on. What would your recommendation be? Thank you

The Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole # DM14793-81 you were looking at features an "eZ-Latch mechanism" which will make coupling super easy. When you drop the trailer down onto the ball it will automatically latch and unlatching is as simple as pulling the latch up. It has a black powder coat finish that resists corrosion and bolts onto the frame of your Jayco pop-up camper so you can complete the installation yourself. You can use a torque wrench like # ALL944001 to ensure a tight connection between the coupler and frame. You will need to cut the welds off your old coupler to remove it and install the new one. I've attached a video where Shane will walk you through installation of this coupler as well.

You can use the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock # e98887 to keep prevent theft while out on the road or the Blaylock EZ Lock Trailer Coupler Lock for 2-5/16" Lipped Couplers # BLTL-34 to keep it safe while in storage.
