Standard 50 Degree A-Frame Coupler Fit For Custom Build Trailer
Question:
Ongoing tandem axle trailer build. Tongue has two pieces that come together and each are cut at 45s. Will this 50 degree A-frame coupler work? Deck is 86inch wide x 16foot long. From the front frame the tongue members are 44. Please advise.

A standard 50 degree coupler like # DM14793-81 will work on your custom 45 degree frame with a little modification. Without welding shims the coupler will not have the strength, so you will need to make some adjustments to your current tongue design. I've attached the dimensions for you to determine your fit requirements
